If you can't hide the wiring, make it part of the decor.
But what if/when it YLOD's or how do you charge the joypads?

That looks quite cool as it goes. You can rest the pads on top to charge. I just hope his wall mounting is sturdy (and the wall material).
I also hope his bedroom isn't the other side, else it may be an expensive headboard banging session he has one night
