Anyone a fan of this new game out today?

i played the demo for hours, hate these type of games as a rule but it goes to show that the ps3 could do a MMORPG if they really wanted.

Its 16 players a server with zero lag (so it shud be) seems pretty smooth so far.
Generally good graphics & tons on gameplay!!! SP & MP

Multiplayer gets a solid 7.5/10 from me.
Lacking a bit, but still epic fun!

Well it would take much more to convince me to try it out. I hate any game that has swords, dragons and wizards, though I would watch a movie if you stick it under my nose.

I finally got round to playing the demo last night, and can't say I was impressed. The graphics in the tutorial are borderline PS2, and the online was a bit dull in my experience. I never knew if I was killing a bot or human.

But the real nail in the coffin for me is that lack of XP, ranking or any kind of thing to strive for outside the current game.

I really, really, REALLY hope this sees the light of day though. Unfortunately it says "Free Radical" in the corner so I guess we'll have to pray for someone to pick up the project, or for Free Radical to form another company and finish it off. They owe us one after Haze... lol

Looks interesting, but how do you balance multiplayer, Jedies vs Imperial toopers?

I dunno, but they had Jedi in the last one and I guess it worked ok. I think you have to earn the right to be Jedi by being super skilled as a normal soldier. I never played it online though, so I'm not sure.

I heard that Pandemic may be picking up the project, so there's hope for it yet. Although they did that meh-LOTR conquest thing too, so I'll wait and see...

well battlefront 3 has been picked up by: Rebellion Developments and lucas arts are removing all youtube leaks and asking websites to remove videos as a copyright infringment.

So looks like its going ahead.
