LOL +1 to David Silverman. Although to be fair to the presenter, David view is only opinion (that I happen to agree with).
I had a realisation recently that I'm quite pleased with - I think religion is man's extension of a need for a hierarchical structure. We have hierarchy all over the place, and religion extends that beyond the top man. Although Egyptians blurred the line between alpha male and deity more than most other civilizations.
