i think that might need rewording a bit then daz as it seems to read to me that people with unhacked consoles downloading the firmware are getting bricks. not trying to be a pedant

With the Keys, you can Decrypt the Game, Modify what files are needed to bypass the check......


But its a good idea if there was away to work it.
Like the CD drive needs the CD Key before it even reads the disc

But then again it only requires 1 person to buy the game and upload it for people to hack away and modify,
then to use a FTP Client to upload it to your console.

I can think of many ways to block it, but in doing so i can always find away to counteract it.
Probably why i aint working for Sony lol

What ever way they do to block it, it will be an interesting method

that takes me back to the days when you had to enter codes in from the game manuals!

I just found my old amiga in a box in the loft and the monkey island game requires a wheel which you match pictures to from the loading of the game, i lost it so can't play it, but funny! lol.

LOL the wheel was a pre-internet relic. It would be exactly 0.3244 seconds between a game's release and the component parts of the wheel being scanned and on the web these days.

Where did you get this from? I just got around to reading the link in the OP now it's got round to update time, and there is little there to hint at bricking... And even then it sounds like it's only CFW bricking. Or is there another source?
