For Dave to reinstall the old Ajax chatbox. The ajax chat that was installed NEVER once slowed the website down, it seems that it was the shoutbox that did that (amongst other things).
Anywho, I say bring back the all powerful and easy to use Sexy Sue!

SEO Mod slowed down the site,
not the chat,

there was 2 templates i made when i redone the whole forum,
one had chat the other didnt,
speed difference was in the 0.* difference

Anyway w/e

I was working on a footer version and a low style theme,
But got caught up in work.
I will continue soon

Was slowing the site down by a couple of seconds pending what was on the chat.

So i removed it from the Footer if any of you noticed.

When you click on CHAT in the links @ the top,
it will open a new Window (Pop up)
So ensure you allow pups from this site

put the chat in the footer when you can dave
but please for the love of god make sure it doesn;t chuck every user to the bottom of the forum.

im not overly keen on a chat box to be honest, its a message board and not a chat room, could we instigate a seperate chat room instead? im not trying to be unsociable but the good thing about message boards is you can take time to post stuff and dont have to respond straight away, people might think your ignoring them if it logs you into the chatbox straight away

the clan i used to be a part of had one and it did my tits in, people got really stroppy if you didnt speak to them but i know you lot are more grown up

OK well i have Done a Show / Hide
So you dont have to use it,

I dont think it will log you in without clicking on it,
Not 100% needs testing.

Need to replace code with a button when i get a mo.

Should stop the increase in loading time.....

Yorkshire, you dont have to use the chat if you dont want to.
It got used alot for support and questions and a little banter if you where around.

Its easier to talk about things too instead of doing threads and post and waiting.,

Oh i agree 100% if i was bored i could jump on and say who wants a game, it was just a bit in your face to begin with, its not dropping to the bottom now anymore, in fact its vanished
