i love the snow, its great stuff, natures plaything, and you cant beat seeing big heads skidding around in BMWs because they dont know how to drive properly and just assume 50k of bavarian metal will let them go anywhere :D

so have you had snow yet folks? none in scouserpool so far, ill check with the parents in yorkshireshire later today after i finish work at 5pm

personally i think the country needs to grow a spine and get on with it, especially southerners! :yuush:

LMAO Agree.

I heard in Yorkshire there was snow.

Get on with it, Yup, its amazing to see how UK comes to a stand still with a bit of snow and other countries that get 40x more than us are getting on with day to day life.

I recall the las tbit of heavy snow we had, a few guys left early in the car (We close at 6 they left at 1)
Normal its a 20 minute drive home.
When they left they never got home untill 8pm

Thats how stupid it was.

I admit i found it hard. as i walk 2 miles to work each day.
and its a busy path. so all the snow got crushed to ice.
And it was an ice path to work.
Almost impossible to walk in.

"I did find a tactic to it tho. walk quick very quick, this was i never slipped or fell over,
the only problem i had is if i needed to stop, turn a corner or slow down, each move would make me fall lol"

Anyway am looking forward to snow this year. as am ordering in some Snow Chains for me shoes so ill be sorted, no trouble for me hehe

In Canada when they plough the road they make sure it's clear, and if your car is buried... well its tough. Nothing closes the roads.

In Yorkshire land we have lots and lots of hills, some of them very steep, I've been up then and I've been down them in a car, and the snow never stopped me.

No snow yet though.

We haven't even had any snow yet, and already the trains are fucked. Seems like just the threat of snow is enough.
