I downloaded the demo to check out: from what I've heard of this game, it sounds like it could be fucking hard (to the point of annoyance).

Am I missing something here? - I found it shite.
I'm used to having a tad more response in a vehicle - plus gfx were appalling, I know its a budget game but come on!
When you can mix Rollcage2 and Driver, gimme a call.

I bought the game based on the demo. I tried the demo online and was kicking this guy's ass so bad he sent me an abusive message lol.
Turns out, that was beginner's luck. I haven't scored a single goal online yet in the real game.
It's ok IMO. Not amazing, but not bad. It's fucking hard, but then that makes it so satisfying to set up a sweet cross, or bang one in from the half way line.
I think criticizing the car responsiveness is a bit harsh though: they're the most responsive things I've ever driven. The game does have some fucking horrendous screen tear at times though.
