My wife got it for me for Xmas, but we're opening our shit early (she got me 24: The Final Season too :))

But she pre-ordered it from Play and it dispatched last Wednesday but still hasn't fucking turned up. Either Play and/or Royal Mail has gone right down the shitter.

Maybe as Xmas looms in the recession, pikey postman are thieving obvious games/DVDs as easy Chrimbo prezzies..?

They dont need to use a recession as an excuse.

ROFL!! if it keeps happening he will get caught out,
Serious investigations go on now
(Royal Postal Service init)

not that it means much. But i was told from a Friend of a friend who used to work in postal that when 2 or 3 reports of a missing item on the same rounds,
Alot of test mail goes through the system
Like packages.
Birthday cards etc

And its gets serious shit!!

As well it fucking should! It's no different to stealing from a shop or someone's house. Play don't help the fucking situation by, in their infinite wisdom, deciding to print "Digital optical media, value £39.99" on the bloody packaging.

I mean, seriously, what purpose does that serve other than to let robbing cunts know it's worth robbing?

Totaly Agree.

I have ordered once from them... i think or was it game.

Anyway who ever it was, it had the Price on the front and the game.
"This was when i was living with a house mate"

I return from work, and he said Oh so you bought ****** then did you..

Am like you cheeky shit opening me mail.
He was like chill, its printed on the front of the packaging.

WTF!!! really how stupid can you be.

I ordered 4 things from play 2 games, hd pvr and a cd.

1 game arrived 10 days after release, 1 game went missing, the pvr turned up in a courier van so i had to sign and a cd that never came.

So i have never bothered with play ever since.. just shit.

Shopto have been great, but i have had 2 parcels go missing in 3 years, but they send another the next day and royal mail then send a form to sign.

As for the topic:

I want this game, infact i could get it right now.. but.. i think i'll wait a bit.

So i spent a couple of hours Playing this, It has some ups and downs, I will not blab as i know some of you are getting it or waiting for Xmas for it,

Bad Points:

[*]Its Slow Loading, Clips, Tuts, Tips, Adverts (Yes Adverts, Could just be my rental copy) you cannot skip none of them

[*] Overall loading is slow take a few minutes per each race to sort out. could be quicker, but not too painfull

[*]You need an Activation code to play Online (should be in your case, its a use once, other than that you have to pay to get online) I have not gone online rental copy again

[*]Pain of a Navigation System

[*] Restarting a Race takes ages, you have to watch like 5 seconds or 10 seconds of the warm up clip before you can skip.
Well its more like like 2 seconds then you press X then have to wait a further 3 - 5 for loading and the race to kick in

Good Points:

[*] Friends show up on each Race / Chase makes it more fun and competative

[*] Good Graphics

[*] Good Sounds

[*] Setup a playlist in your music on your PS3 and play it Ingame!!!!!!!!!!!!

[*] Nice feature for taking screenshots. (Can rotate 360 external camera while driving and snap away "Like prologic i think it was"

[*]Wall /Bored you and friend can Use, Post messages up or beaten tasks, Like Sys i pwned your time on XXXXXX race

Overall game is good. Nothing amazing that will change my life. I will be keeping hold of it for a bit, its good fun.

And i really love 2 features on it, i think all games should have now.

A system where you can see JUST people on your friends (Like Wipeout)
I spent 45 minutes just beating one time by McLovin

Ingame Music for your own Playlist.

These 2 are enough for me to buy it on its own LOL

But it does add alot more to the game when i can quickly look at races or chases and see someone els is in the lead

If you want a full blown review ill be happy to write one, but taste it for yourself instead of getting mixed reviews it what i would say

The mode I played was fixed.
I never realy looked into freeroam.

I got a 72 hour online trial. I will have a look tomorrow for you. But I dont recall seeing one. And the races I was on were locked down to the track only

Sent From My HTC Desire Using The Mess Hall App

I'm sure I read that there is a free roam, but you can't launch events from it or go online - it's just for earning cash. I may be getting confused with Test Drive of course.

Dave, if you have an online code, you should use it as it should be brand new. Why let some other fucker have it :) Then you can buy it second hand if and when you find a copy...

Play won't action my missing copy until 8th December the fucking wankers. I've been a solid Play customer since Amazon pissed me off back around 2004-2005. But now they can fuck right off too...

It's time for a ShopTo affiliation link.

We should get a little group going on this one night as it's great fun online when playing with mates. It's so-so playing with randoms.

I think Dave, Sy, Axe and his mate and I have it...anyone else? Although that's enough for some LOLs :)
