Playing for clans

I wonder if we could play as a clan? There's a lot of work involved, an I'm not up for it, but I thought i'd throw it out there.
Not sure if it's a good idea or not, but instead, what about arranging to play against clans so they can practice?
We could offer our services that way, it's a good way to learn to play together, something we can do with BFBC (although not so much now), it's a good way to learn tactics, and a good way to make new friends.
waddya think?

I'm not sure if I want to go down that route, but playing against them for fun and so they can practice might be good way to meet new people and have a good time in the bargain.
Either way, welcome to Dazbobaby.com

I'm definitely up for forming an in-game clan and playing unofficially when I'm on. But a proper clan with organised matches etc is a lot of work for somebody. If someone's up for that, yay - but I'm not volunteering :gaga

i'm not up for forming and maintaining a clan, it IS a huge amount of work.
But there's nothing to stop us from telling other clans we can play against them in a "friendly" way, so we and they can practice.
It's probably no more that 2 games a week, at a time we'd probably be playing anyway.
I just thought it'd be a good idea.

Don't really want to commit myself to clan business, I have already too many commitments to other things, but if it is just for fun, I'll be up for it as well.

Just to be sure, it's not about being a clan, if somebody wants to volunteer to do the work, thats fine by me, but I dont want us to play as a clan. It gets very competative and if someone does'nt get picked to play, it gets nasty.
It's about fun first and foremost, it's about friends, and it's about learning to play better. Experience you can only get playing against skilled and organised players.
It's about volunteering, and unless we get a unanimous vote, then I wont go ahead, I think eveyone needs to want to play this way once or twice a week, and no more. Clans can play upto and more than seven times a week, and thats too much for a group of people who want to play for fun.

That's the foundation of a great clan IMO. Anything beyond that, and it becomes unpaid, frustrating work. Especially if there's a lot of kids involved...

There is a clan feature in KZ2 isn't there? But you have to reach a certain rank to unlock it...?

ok, whatever happens happens, but after seeing a few clan-esque groups slaughter me on BFBC (STD's are pretty good) it would be nice for us to have some kind of tag if we end up on the same side. Or opposing side as well.

I've never been in an organised clan.

I take it its more than a name? - organising, organising what? whats involved - and no I cant volunteer.
:)
