Website design

Ok, we are all of the opinion that the site needs a custom theme throughout.
I dont know how to do it, we either need a voluteer(s) to redesign they layout for gallery and frontpage (Word Press), or everything including the forum, I like the forum and think that should be the main focus for the theme.
If there's no volunteer, how about everyone volunteer a tenner? I know money is tight, but a tenner each is just a few beers, and there's always someone capable who'll do they work for that kind of money.
Sy has given me a few links to post the request on, they bid for the work and then it's done a few days/week later.

I am adamant we need to keep the front page, I have analytics running, and since word press was installed, we are keeping more guests interested, there's also more search engine hits coming here too.
The front page should be, this is what we are, this is who we are, this is what we do. It need to contain news too. We certainly are'nt the first to post the news, but we should still try to make it presentable. If you all make an account, I can make you Editors, so you can post and edit at will. You dont have t ogo mad, posting serveral items a day, just as and when you feel like it. I can add a feed from the front page back to the forum easily.
I also like the way the links work, but we also need links in the forum, http://www.highdefgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7409 here are the instructions to do it.

So the immediate question is this, what are the link images and links that need to be on the font page?
Must have's: Gallery, Forum, Killzone 2 - yes KZ will eventually be dropped when the game dries up, probably wont be for long time.
And, how do you feel about contributing with either cash or code?
Widescreen monitor users, do you feel the site needs to be a certain and rigid width?

I do too, but then there's a huge amount of wasted space at the sides for widescreen users, maybe fix it at 1280, that way 1600x200 and widescreen will look the same as 1280x1024.

Never under estimate blank space mate.

The Geek website looks great on a widescreen monitor.

(so does yours, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with blank space)
