It's part of the default install, it has installed bots as users, they have no access other than reading.
If they were'nt part of the users module, bots would just show up as guests.
At leats this way everyone knows who and what they are.
Unless I missed the point completely and you want to hide yourself from public view.
Click profile,
left hand side, click board preferences
right hand side, select "Hide My Online Status"
