The Matrix Trilogy

I have'nt met one person who did'nt enjoy them all.
But there's a debate over which one is best?

Matrix was absolutely ground breaking. All the wire-fu, and unbelievable special effects. Stuff that had never been done before, like the very detailed slow mo.

Matrix Reloaded though had the car chase, and lets face it, it was awsome. Carrie Anne Moss on a Ducati 996 and PVC. Hubba hubba.

Matrix Revolutions pushed the special effect to limits and with quality the George Lucas would be jealous of in Star Wars 1,2, and 3. Awsome fight sequence with Agent Smith.

I would have to say the first one?

Why....
Well one it set the bench mark

2, its the hottest topic when we go the pub, the Matrix Theory pops up, the endless and never ever ending argument lol

i enjoyed the first more, because i understood what the film was about
(which many dont and stil don't lol)

Anyways number 2 was ok, but i think it started to go off track and then the last one for me was just shite!

2&3 should of been 1 film really.

Come on then Symonator, give us an education.

3 definately went very wrong somewhere, it got too Biblical and obscure in a lot of it.
I like the trilogy just 1 and 2 more than 3.

I think I prefer 1, but 2 was full of action and really really good stunts.

My take on the matrix, It's about the Human spirit, and when you put your mind to acheiving something, you probably will.
But I also think its the kind of film that can have different meaning to different people.

the matrix is about that what they thought was real infact isnt, its all a fake and neo is set free to understand it, basically the matrix farms humans to become more powerful..and feeds the real world fake info..thats what the film is about.

its just future machines (computers) using humans as a power source.
so they are farming them to do so.. yup bet u didnt realise that hur?

You could expand on that Sy, and say it's the perception of reality that Corporations want us to see.
They try to keep us plugged into their "reality" so they can control us, in the mean time, the reality we see powers them further.

Corporations or Governements, it's all the same.
We are slaves to their system.
The only way to see the reality is to unplug.

The first one had the biggest wow factor for me... I thought the concept was amazing, and at that point it still had the potential to unfold in many awesome ways. But then it just degenerated into a comic fan's wet dream. Albeit with some awesome action sequences (car chase, invasion of Zion etc) and effects. Monica Bellucci is always a win in my book too - especially with a top down camera lol.

I kind of like this vibe, If The Matrix was made in the 1950's (but had modern CGI I guess).
