Quantic Dream boss David Cage has ruled out Heavy Rain 2, despite the fact the first game isn’t even out yet.
Cage made the revelation in an interview in the latest issue of OPM (via tLG).
“I don’t want to do a sequel because I’ve said what I had to say about these characters and this story,” he said.
“Honestly, I have nothing else to say,” he further added.
Explaining the reasoning behind the game’s “Chronicles” DLC, he said: “The game tells a full story, nothing is missing from it. The approach to DLC was to say, let’s work on prequels. What led the characters to be who they are in Heavy Rain? What happened to them before?”
Last summer at gamescom in Cologne, Cage told VG247 in an interview he wasn’t “sure” there was going to be a HR2.
But there is your proof, kiddlewinks: there ain’t.
The thriller got a 9/10 in its first review in the same issue of OPM, it emerged this morning.
The sex scenes and violence in the game also got detailed today, thanks to its ESRB listing.
Heavy Rain releases on February 23 in the US, February 26 in the UK.

This looks Interesting and the graphics look sweet (Even a full naked woman on this hehe)
I can understand why there is going to be no Sequel as this game Heavy Rain has from what i started reading up on, Has been in development from early 2008
Thats a serious amount of time...
But have i got this game right...
You play a character of whom your choice is:
But what is the point? you play the person and live his life, picking up clues.....
Shooting someone...
Detecting a Murder.
What is the point to this game. or is there not one?
Info seems very vague on this

You play a few characters in the game, all of which present different choices and obsticles.
Following different paths leads to different outcomes (apparently).
So like infamous, you have replay value by making different choices everytime you play.

Ok that i understand, that i picked up from the net, but still there vague on what you will be doing,
Playing the life of a normal person?
Being a detective
Being a serial Killer,
Running around like in Grand Theft Auto Killing everyone, There is no information on the actual gameplaying objective
If you still understand what me is saying homiiieee

I dont know if you play the part of the Origmai killer, but I know you do play the regular guy who's family is murdered. You go out and hunt the killer.
Think law abiding citizen, but without being locked up.
Then play different charcters.
Shit that did'nt work.
I guess we'll just have to see.
On a side note, my video of the Heay Rain dynamic theme is over 21,000 views with 1,000 + per day.
Saweet!

Origami trivia:
It's impossible to fold a piece of paper more than 7 times.
No matter how thick or thin, it cannot be done.

So does Dragon Age, and it does it amazingly well.
I really hope I'm wrong, as a lot of people seem to be really looking forward to this game, but I think it's setting itself up to be an over-hyped disappointment, that just puts an annoying interface on an unoriginal mechanic in the name of innovation.
And I bet there's fuck all dragons in it...
Like I said - I hope I'm wrong... I would love for the PS3 to have a truly genre defining master piece exclusive to it. I guess time will tell...

I've read that different decisions = different outcomes. Or so the game hype leads you to believe, but the reality is that different decisions = same outcome. So there's no real replay value.
Time will tell, it's almost certainly a rental and not a purchase.
