Simple enough question is the Gaming Industry as a whole getting greedy and stubborn when it comes to Digital Releases?

As far as i'm concerned for the year and a half they have been milking the shit out of digital releases charging prices that just don't make logical sense when you factor in the only thing your buy the GAME.

Your not lining the pockets of Game, Game station with a % of the game value (nor trading it back into them giving the dev and Publisher nothing), since i have yet ot see a Digital release pirated so we aren't paying the publisher that cover.

There is absolutely no cost involved in shipping it to consumers so we don't pay that.

Those a the major factors in this day and age which contribute the majority of retail costs for games.

It really grates when i see digital releases priced the same as their retail brothers there is no valid defence against this and people should really start saying to publishers and content distributers (EA, Activision, Microsft,Sony AND Steam ) to give this a rest and pass on the savings.

For heaven sake i see Football Manager 2010 on Steam for £30 yet i find a retail copy of £17, a digital copy of games that are 2-3 years old (Looking at you Microsoft) for £20 when i can pick up for less than £10. (MS not liking Debit cards is a whole new can of worms)

I understand fully these companies bottom lines are profit margins but some of the pricing for what is in effect a cheaper product to provide to us the consumers is a downright scandal.

I think this picture sums it up perfectly.
