A look at the new map

I was initially impressed, the vid I saw made me think it was mad, but in a brilliant kind of way.
So I started the game up, went to race, selected Synesthesia and looked stood in wonder of it.

Then I started to run, I got my time down to 1minute 11secs, target time is 1.10, so not bad.
But of course, this is "free" running and I looked for different paths, and I couldnt find any, I'm sure they're there, but the choice is not as vast as the images look.

after an hour of exploring, I see no way of getting to the other sections, I think they're just there to make the map look better, and not to offer a new path to explore.
I'm a bit dissapointed, but it was free.

Wow. I prefer the look of this to the "real world" demo. Maybe I should invest in a copy.
Demo lacked something, wasn't fluid enough for me, patch could change that maybe?

the full game is fluid, you would'nt believe how much you can learn about alternative routes.
I played the game after the new map, and because my HDD crashed and I had'nt saved my game, I started from scratch.
I found different paths and actually had a different game, so it's got extra playabilty even when you complete it.
there is NO online element, but once you complete a section, you can race against ghosts, and that is where you really learn how fluid the game can be.

AusGamers have posted a eleven-minute video interview with Senior Producer Owen O'Brien. The Q&A took place at Tokyo Game Show 2008. Along with discussions about gameplay, cutscenes and such O'Brien also revealed that Mirror's Edge is a trilogy, and that the first two games will focus on Faith. There are already plans for the sequel and DICE is thinking about including a level editor in Mirror's Edge 2.

It's a great game, but I'm not interested in buying another DICE title.
