Any of you guys played Infamous?
I just got it last week and I'm loving it, leaping off 300ft buildings and landing perfectly on a fire hydrant, beating the crap out of reapers.
ohhh yeah
:high:

Yeah this game is fucking awesome. I'm just closing in on platinum for it. I don't know how it compares to Prototype (which is more of the same-ish) but I just ordered that from Amazon so will let you know in a few weeks.
Infamous is great at making you feel like a super hero. You can go where you want with ease (apart from onto those fucking balloons). How the city reacts to you being a wanker or not is quite cool. And I like the power up system.
It does have a few bugs, like sometimes the collision mesh can slip away from the geometry mesh, but there's certainly nothing game breaking in there. The pop up (of objects, not scenery) can be a little off putting of that kind of thing bothers you, but most of the time you're too busy frazzling stuff to give a shit.
All in all, a worthy pirchase. Especially if you can find it cheap (which, as there's not much to do beyond platinum, should be easy by scouting the second hand bins - although that's no reflection on the quality of the game).

I loved the demo, but heard mixed reviews about the game, some love it, some hated it.
But the fact that that it's single player only limits it's life.

If you loved the demo, you'll love the game. The demo is good for showing you how cool climbing buildings, sliding on wires and zapping people is. The game will also give you upgrades which are all cool and the ability to be a bastard or not.

There's a lot of gameplay in there though. It doesn't rely on multiplayer to give you value for money so there's more in there than your average game. It's probably of equivalent size to GTA 3 or 4 (not San Andreas - that was a beast).
Once you've played through it twice (good/bad) it will become trade-in material though. Definitely worth a rent I'd say.

blah blah blah dude
The game is freaking awesome! The open world superman meets gta structure makes for a game where you can have a lot of fun just leaping for building to building and perfecting impossible looking leaps. As infinite states said there are some bugs with strange things happening at times (flying reapers, people getting stuck in corners etc) but to be honest the important stuff works perfectly and the bugs are no worse than the everyday occurrencesyou get if you spend long in liberty city with niko.
I've gone the good route at the mo but i'm looking forward to being a complete douchbag evil twat second time round.
the side missions can get repetitive but there are some great set pieces in the story mission (the dustmen breaking alden out of the prison being a high point so far for me)
I got it for 25 nicker off amazon (offer not on anymore).

Sounds bloody quite good actually - I think I'd start off as evil then make amends the second time I played.
How long did it take to play once through?

If you like Infamous, you should definitely check Prototype afterwards.
But if you've already played Prototype, don't bother with Infamous. Although they're both good, they're very similar and Prototype is much better IMO.
Prototype is a bigger, better, grown up version of Infamous.

did activision fix the install bug for prototype? I assume they have.
Absolutely school boy error.

Errr...I guess. I didn't no about it, and didn't have any problems.
TBH I couldn't even tell you whether it installed or not... But I've played it a lot, and never had any bugs or problems.

PMSL. "All right, Stan, don't lame the point..."
Prototype > Infamous anyway.
It was patched before I got around to playing it - I did think it weird that is was patching at the time...
