the pc version of ut3 works on windows server 2003 but not on windows server 2008 (bummer thats what i use)
so i got a virtual version of windows xp running lets se how ut3 plays in that!

updated virtual windows xp to sp3 and ut3 installs ok but i get an error when running either ut3 or map editor - bummer!

what error,
would not be graphical would it, as its limited by what you set it too, what Virtual Program you using?
I ordered mine ysterday and it come today, who said no next day delivery,
ordered at 4:30pm
and it come this morning,
allthough his site said next day delivery for orders before 3 pm lolol

virtual pc 2007
ut3 hangs at the splash screen then i get an error like 5 mins later
i might have to setup my pc as a dual boot with windows server 2008 and either xp or vista

Whats the error you plonker
Your as bad as the clients,
"My Till Will Not Start"
Why will it not start do you get an Error Message or anything?
"Yes i get an error message..................."
Ok What is the error message?
"I dont know......"
Lol whats the error,
If its loading on the splash screen and then erroring,
i would say 2 Things,
DirectX or not enough memory for the graphics so Dual Boot should do it

Also i think from personal experiance virtual pc 2007 is pretty poor.
It works amazing for my Windows 98 but everything els sucks,
Virtual Box (Free Online) Seems a very very nice bit of software,
i currently have it on my work machine,
3 Versions of Linux Installed,
Mac, and Vista
I then use
virtual pc 2007 for windows 98

the ut3 map maker is not a standalone product
it is bundled with ut3 for pc
it makes maps for both pc and ps3

hurrah i finally got this working on my w2k8 box!
i needed to edit the ut3 msi and delete a reference in there that stopped it running on w2k8
what i should have done from the very beginning is type into google "install ut3 on w2k8"
oh well we learn the hard way
