just seen a preview vid, very poor quality on youtube.
Looks like DICE need to up the ante with BFBC2.
256 multiplayer arena's, yep 256 players in one game.
From zipper interactive, the makers of SOCOM.

I agree with Seddon, the way some people take clans too seriously, but with chain of command, this is just going to get bonkers. Virtual power to geeks, lmao. I would want to check the game out, but won't be getting it on the first day I don' think so.

there is a strong posibility that Sony are going to make subscription based too.
Well, that just about kills that one dead.

i believe i read somewhere that this game will be subscription based and not free to play

if the servers are up to it and lag free this might be worth a shot

Sy, in your experience, what kind of server would be needed to host such massive games?
I think it can be done on the ps3, after all, if the game can handle that many players, surely a single ps3 can be used as a server a la Warhawk, with racks filled with ps3's.

Well until we get to see in game footage I'm not holding my breath. I've never been a fan of Massively online games, I need a fix of adrenaline every now and then - it hurts my head to think too much!

The graphics look good in the trailer but I'm guessing the in game will drop way short.

pessimist? Ya Darn Tootin.

I think the trailer is all CGI, it's a shame it's so poor quality too.

Wow this game looks awesome :great , 256 players it would be a total mayhem a one hell of a fight. :shoot :devil

With this huge number of players, they might use a server setup of multiple numbers of dedicated servers in every region (America, EU, Asia, Pacific). But it would be financially draining to zipper interactive or they might use the good old P2P setup.
