Dont know if anyone caught my post, But i paid for the All in 1 expansion pack.
(Mainly for Single player as am going to need some single player games to play soon when i move home and have no broadband for some time)

But am all upto date and ready for some games if you fancy it.

Endwar.. i liked it but i got rid of it in the end due to lack of intrest and at that time don't think dave was around, daz played it maybe twice - so it was a bit meh, but i think dave would like this game alot.

It always reminds me of C&C on steroids mixed with ruse elements.
I would pick it up it's prolly less than £10.

Yeah, I'm up for some RUSE or End War if you get it or whatever really. I kind of charged up my Move controllers (they sat plugged in for ages, but the lights never stopped flashing).

You never got on with CivRev did you Sy? Shame - that was a great strategy game, but unfortunately bugged to shit and would mostly likely drop someone out just at the climax of a 4 hour game...

4 hour games? i never had agame longer than 20minutes i either won or lost in that time.

That's why i sold it, unlike the pc version games can last for weeks lol literally.

did it get patched or something to choose victory varibles? or not?

20 minutes?! WTH...? It takes 20 minutes to settle your first city and explore the area. I can't understand how you can win within 20 minutes LMAO. The only victory condition available within that sort of time frame is domination which means you need to find and cap 3 other capitals, which I guess could happen if they all spawned on the same land mass as you, and within a few squares. But there's no way you'd beat even one vaguely competent human player in that time...

It didn't need patching to choose victory conditions... you just pick one and build towards it. You can check how close anyone is towards any of the victory conditions at any point.

hmmmmmmmmm when i had the game, there was no other modes but domination (destroying all human players) are u sure there wasn't a patch?
I am 100% sure there also used to be a time limit.. because i moaned about it on the ps3 forums.

I will re buy it otherwise because i did like it alot but i got really annoyed with having to beat someone in a half hour time frame...or the game would just end.

There definitely wasn't a patch to add winning conditions.

Domination is the quickest way to win if your opponent lets you, but you can also win through culture (can't remember how - get 20 great people or something), financial (earn X gold and build world bank), technology (research space flight, build and launch shuttle components).

The main menu had pedestals for each civilisation, with icons for each victory type to show which ones you'd beaten them with. You can see them here as well on the civ select screen, but I dunno if it means beaten or won. Left to right it's domination, space, culture and finance:


There is a kind of time limit - someone needs to win by a certain year (I think it's 2150 or something), and in ranked matches there is a time limit for you to take your turn. But games can certainly last for hours upon hours. I had a game a month or two ago with Axe and a mate of his and we were playing four hours when I lost connection.

Just out of curiosity, did you play it online or against the (fucking cheating) AI?
