yep gg's last night, after u lot went i grabbed some food and then came back and did that orge challenge on medium, you an get a weapon called high five for squire and it sells for 8,000 u can farm that shit.
But it has 27 upgrade levels and is listed as one of the best weapons in dungeon defenders.
Dunno what dave was doin at one point during the summit level he just stood there getting hit and allowed his defense to get broke, me n daz had to quickly put up some more??
At the mo though loving my 2226dps shield
Also wanna try ramparts on hard too and insane, u can pick up "godly" epic armours.
p.s
That guy last night just talked and talked - he sounded weird lol.
He only had 246 health, like wtf lol but at least he knew how to play defense, which was a bonus i suppose.
Anyways liking the game alot, i am suprised really, some things that are not on ps3 version liek the countess class (female type squire) and some dlc, i expect they will come out in the future.

There is an exploit where you can upgrade farmable weapons and sell them for more than they cost you. It's not quite as simple as that so you may want to research it a bit more...
Jersiah wrote:Hey all, I'm trying to farm high fives to upgrade and sell back for mana. I've beaten ogre crush about 8 times now on medium, hard, and insane but have only gotten 1 high five so far that I believe meets the criteria for being worth upgrading (100+ elemental damage and atleast 24 or so upgrades). I only have 1 other than even comes close (139 elemental but only 20 upgrade levels so I'm pretty sure it won't make a profit when sold). So I have a few questions
1) What difficulty is best when farming? I'd think insane but the two times I did that, i only got an ogre party hat. I don't seem to get a high five everytime I beat it on the other difficulties though I may be mistaken there, but like I said most aren't worth using.
2) If I add another squire player (or 2, or 3) in the last wave of an ogre crush challenge, do I really get several high fives? That's what I heard but the two times I did it, I just got 1 item, not more.
3) High Five aside, can I do the whole upgrade elemental/sell/profit on other items such as Draconis Ignis for mage or those ogre party hats for monks?
Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong because I read a lot about people getting a good high five every 2 minutes that they could upgrade, sell, and make a good profit on and I'm just not having any luck with that.
Thanks!
Eknight01 wrote:If its as low as 100, you might want a minimum of 25 levels, or you might just break even at best, or only profit few 100k.
1. Hard, hands down. if you have a tower mage, use 2 deadly strikers for each door. and a couple magic blockades at the main door, 1 for each other door, and the high fives will farm themselves.
2 Adding another player with extra controllers should work no problem, but you have to add them during the build phase, joining mid wave on the last wave you wont get credit, and it will increase the ogre number, the deadly strikers can handle i think 2 or 3 per door, so you might have to help them.
3. Mage/Monk/Huntress weapons, and animus', you'd be better off upgrading the projectile speed than anything else, starting with 400 or so, with 25 upgrade levels, it wont look like it will become anything profitable as much as up to level 22 or 23, but the last couple levels you sink into it will skyrocket, i have a mage weapon in my bank right now: 29 upgrade levels (already maxed), 2,173,911 projectile speed (started with 700+), worth 59,468,760 mana (waiting for myself and a few friends to go broke to fill all our banks instantly (see Mana making for a group post))
i havent ben having much luck farming high fives the last couple weeks, so instead i was farming assault for balisticus to make money off of, but even that wasnt going well, thats when i switched to chicken insane, that where i got that mage weapon, good ones drop at a decent pace, at least for me.
the high five is the reward on medium and hard (maybe easy too, never tried myself), and Ogre Party Hat os the reward on insane.

lol RAGE QUITE!!!!
No Excuse haha!!!
On another note, Me and charlie Dont that assault one last night,
on Easy we pissed through it in minutes,
On Medium we got the first Crystal.
Tactic for it, Would be to have a TANK with HIGH HP,
And someone with High long Rang DPS,
Take out the Towers, Tank jumps in and Just goes for Crystal,
Its not worth Killing the enemys, When you do, They just respawn back, So unless your outputting 5,000 DMG (There full health)
Its impossible lol!!

Yeah, it definitely helps that we both upgraded to 4 digit DPS. My new gun is beast and it's still got room for improvement - but it's costing me 6 figures per level...

I can run through the first Crystal with RAGE activated or w/e its called.
Really easy.
But by the second one, i dont have enough rage to get to that second Crystal, Need to just JUMP and JUMP and slash the crystal twice and its gone
The third one i have enough rage for it, but not enough health (And to fully heal myself i never have enough Mana) Costs me 720 for like half health

Anyone want to do ramparts hard tonight?
You can get ALOT of xp like 4 levels per run of it.
The requirements:
Tower Squire (at least level 40 with semi decent gear for towers)
Your harpoons must do 1500 damage at least. (example)
Specific placement.
(can place extra towers for insurance, I show minimalistic setup only)
10 Minutes per map, that includes setup+waves.
Don't get hit, and don't let your core get hit.
(Sometimes random enemies will squeeze through)
Don't waste time leveling up between waves
1st run you will get to 23 or 24. Every run after that you'll get less and less levels until 60 you will continue to get 2 to 3 levels every run until 70.
(so long as you and your core doesn't get hit)
what they say also is use squire traps and switch to a low level char for example like me, apprentice and get him levelled up and so on.
As for squire you look at 2-3 levels per run if you are 40 or over.

Yeah could be.
Is that a solo guide? If so, it probably won't scale to multiple players...?

Ok so i've done it, levelled to 70 in about and hour.
Even showing daz what to do he went up 33 levels in about 30minutes rofl.
U get about 120k mana every 2 waves on ya own, and split of course with more people.
Just dont pick any items up so it banks.
Just had about 3million - upgraded my swords, armours and all upgrades now done, got 800k left mwhahah.
Easy farming!!!!
squire is easy peasy levellin, best to get a friend to help u if ya another class and then swop yaself to squire, level that up and then place ya traps, swop to ya other char and let the points roll in.
you get about 10 levels every 2 waves before lvl 40 and u get about 2 levels per wave after 40.
be back on at about 9ish, off for a shower and clean the budgie out because he is off to the vets tomorrow, remember me telling u he was doing this squeelin noise - well last night i found he has a nasty sore on the back of his neck, when he bits or preens himself it's causing him pain, hence the squeels.

I must be doing something wrong im playing ramparts on hard finishing the whole thing in about 9 min start to end and only getting 1 level every wave or 2 and maybe getting 80k mana i dont get it figured id get more and nothing ever touches the crystals so im getting all the boosts from that.

what level are you now? after lvl 40 u go up 2 levels or so each other wave.
But u still bag 60k every wave?
it might be based on time, the quicker u do it the better too, for squire those slice n dice are vastly superior to any other defenses on classes, u can take out those 100k ogres in about 5 seconds.

Im level 61 so i should hit level 70 within the hour but funny thing is my pet is stronger then me lol.ive only dumped 2 mil into him tho but his base damage is 640 and hes only 17/25 levels, and its a dragon so its all projectiles.
