they got your money, you think they care now?InfiniteStates wrote:I noticed it appeared on the store yesterday for a tenner, and I bought it, but haven't tried it yet. Anyone else got it?
I'm also wondering why it was only a 100kb download...? If that shit has been on the disk since release, FromSoftware can fuck right off.
It might've been patched in a some point?

Yes the content is in the patch.... dont know why, maybe number of Bug fixes.
So to start off with, Dont expect to load the game and walk into the new content, It took me a good hour or two to figure it out using the internet too.
You Basically have to do the following in order
1, Kill Hydra.
2, Quite the game and load back in
3, Walk around the left side in the water right to the back where the golden crystal golem is. Kill him and free the duke person that spawns after killing the golem
(I saved and quit out and loaded back in again JUST INCASE, dont think its needed but got fedup of trecking back and forth to find out i was missing something)
4, Head to the Dukes Archive, In the first room with the Crystal Enemys, you will see a Golem, Kill him and get the broken Pendant.
How head back to the water where you killed Hydra, and run around the back where you killed the Golen to free that person,
And you will see a portal.
So anyway after all that, what do i think of the content.
Love it, sort of, I only killed two bosses at the moment,
And its not fun doing this with 4.8 Million souls haha
There is not much of a level before the second Boss.
You spawn into the Prepare to die part.
Run through the fog, Kill the boss.
Then run through the next section and run through a woods area(Takes 3 minutes to run) takes less than 10 minutes to kill everything and get to the next Boss.
Killed him and thats where i am now.
The area is like Dark Root Gardens, Very low FPS issues,
thought the game was going to crash at one point.
Met some guy on it last night and was co-oping with him on Skype.
Symon, Charlie,
GET ON THIS!!! Will be nice to chat to someone on Skype or something and play this mofo in co-op
Guy i was playing with last night had no mic.
Any of you fancy this later on?

Yeah I didn't consider that - but PS+ auto-patch FTWtheENIGMATRON wrote:Yes the content is in the patch.... dont know why, maybe number of Bug fixes.

It makes sense so you can go PvP trolling non-DLC owners with weapons/armour/items found in the DLC.
EDIT: yeah I might get on it if XCOM pisses me off with it's "impossible" difficulty bullshit.
You know shit's gone wrong when you are loading Dark Souls to relax from another game being too hard lol.

Pissed over it,
I dont think its worth £10 sorry
4 hours knowing what to do and your done,
now i have done it, could do the new content in lets say 1 hour, maybe hour an a half.......
Not much to it, one larger area before boss, rest is Boss, Walk 5 meters, Boss.
Walk for 20 minutes and kill people, Boss, Walk 5 meters kill main Boss.
Your done.
for something i was very excited about, i wish there was more.
More levels to the bosses or something

You tried it on NG+?
Maybe the bosses are solid there? Like 4kings... Also, you can go trolling in there as there will be people.

Hello. Wariyaka here
I really liked the dlc but as said earlier it really is a bit short for the price-tag. The 3 "storyline" bosses was pretty straight forward and offered no really problems but it seem like A LOT of players have problems with the dragon for some reason. Like 4 out of 5 times I'm summoned for it it end in fail and half the time the 2nd phantom dies too. He shouldn't cause that much trouble, some of his moves do have quite the range and he sometimes move a bit unpredictably but if you just have a shield with decent fire block, keep it up and don't put yourself straight below him when he jumps to the air you pretty much safe. Very fun fight to play in my opinion though.

Hey mate,
Nice to see you here
First off, sorry i went silent (or not if you heard me snore)
Yup i fell asleep haha
I know what you mean about the Dragon, If you have your shield up all the time there is litle to no chance he can cause any major damage,
I was 100% blocking him physically, so i could stand there all day long,
Only time i could get caught out is if he stands on my directly from above and it misses my shield.
Fire does little damage too with the shield up.
ALOT of funny failed co-ops haha!!
Was a good few co-op games Erik,
might finish the game and run through from the start again, if i dare

Was standing outside Father of the Abyss boss last night and saw even more fails than at the dragon. Several times I've seen hosts just die from his opening moves. Fight over before phantoms even reach the arena.
Also saw a really nasty move from the boss that I think we did not encounter. He like shoot out balls of black magic in the air all around him who then return and hit you in the back or something. If it hit anyone standing it was insta death. If it caught me during roll I "only" lost like 75% of health. Fortunately he do that move very rarely and I don't think I seen more than once a fight.
Think you can dodge it by being far enough away or running/rolling up close to him but I have not encountered it enough to test it much. Seen a few hosts and other phantoms die from it though
One time he took all 3 of us at once lol

I kept dodging it while i was running in and attacking him,
Got cough out a couple of times towards then end tho.
Look at vid
2:05 and watch for 10 seconds
That what you mean?

Ah no in that vid only he only do the rather common dark magic move where it like rain from the sky. That seem to be a pretty weak one that barely ever hit or hurt anyone much. Might be it just have very bad accuracy. He have at least two other dark magic moves that's much worse. In one he send several waves of dark magic away from him in like a cone form toward some player. Just stand and take it on the shield might work if you have a good enough shield and/or is not too many laps into the game. Most players I've seen getting hit by several of those waves get killed even if they have their shield up. You need to roll out to the side.
The other move is the one I mentioned before where orbs of dark magic end up homing in toward him on ground level hitting players square in their backs. Dodging that seem tricky but I think he roar or something as a clear tell before he does it so there might be time to unlock targeting and turn around with shield up. I've seen lots of fight where this move never occur.
Note that my char is lvl 143 and many of the fights I've seen are on NG++ or harder. In NG I don't think his attacks and dark magic break through shields and outright kill people that easily but on higher laps he can be one mean cookie
