And was it worth it?

I like my platinums, but I really CBA with all the grinding this game forces on you...

hmm yeah it was worth it, but all it does is buff your stats a LOT.
so far I have 6 of them.
Every time you reach wave 25 in survival, you get another one, and I'm currently grinding away at survival for the transcendence accomplishment.

Didn't the patch fix survival though?

As last time I played it, it wasn't a question of actually surviving, but more a question of being able to put up with the incredible tedium of enduring so many monsters per wave after about wave 15....

this is the Pc version, so it didn't need the patch.
But you're right of course, it is tedious. At least it ends at wave 25.

But having to go through all the maps, with around 80 minutes per map... yawn.

At least you unlock some seriously good skins and gadgets.

It's a shame, I still do play this now and again on PC, it's still an awesome game. But the second and third are complete let-downs. It's as if they don't know what made the first game magical. They lost the recipe for the secret sauce and nothing can replace it.

They made an absolute fortune on the first, and had to resort to Free to play for the second and crowd-funding for the third.

Yer have to agree the first was a gem of a game, but the problem when you land on a gem and want to make a new release with no new content.
I always have to look at SUpercell as a good example, mobile gaming company and very successful on there free to play games.
Each of of there games is unique in there own style, and personally i find them enjoyable to play.

They have never released a game like a reskin with new features or changed up features, they keep adding to the games that work.

But you see this happen with everything, Look at battlefield, was amazing back in the day, every release after got worse and worse (In my opinion anyway)
