Just played with some idiots online, 4 Vs the Hoarde, then a Demon.
I played it own my own and did a lot better. They just used up all the defence points laying traps so I could'nt defend the crystal...
Arrrrggghh. fucking planks.

Sorry m8e, had guests, then when I did get online I think you were too busy to notice my invites.
That Alchemical Level is bloody brilliant for farming equipment and mana, I must've ranked up 7 or 8 times just playing that level.
And the kit i've got from it is amazing.

I did notice (and replied to) your invites, but they arrived just as I was going offline.
I found that level yesterday and yeah, it's pretty easy as there are only four entrances you need to protect and some nice shelves to stand on and cause damage to mobs on approach. Plus, the boss is pretty easy and drops some tasty shit (I presume - haven't got the level to use it yet lol).
I've now taken all character classes to about level 10 (level 7 for monk because it's quite tedious). Ideally, I'd take them all to level 15 so that I have all traps/towers/auras unlocked but so far my favourites/easiest to use are the squire and apprentice, mainly because they can lay down physical walls and put ballistic damage dealers behind them. The squire is especially easy because his walls do damage as well.
The huntress lacks any real ability to stop mobs as effectively as these two classes. She has poison trap, which stops things for a bit, but not if they are immune to poison, and it only works once every few seconds. Plus, she needs to reload her bow (WTF?) which makes direct combat way more annoying than with the squire or apprentice. It's not like the bow deals significantly more damage than anyone else's projectiles that can be fired continuously.
The monk I found was by far the hardest to get started. I had to farm the first couple of rounds of the first level to get to level 3 and unlock his first ability to actually deal any damage, and the crystal kept getting destroyed as soon as the big guys started coming out the top doors.
He can't even stop things - merely slow them down. Once you unlock his electric aura you can pretty much auto-kill anything that isn't immune to electricity. But there is a lot that gets through, and dealing with it all can be a problem. And I don't see the monk getting any better as electricity is the only damage type he can deal. An online only class I fear.
I found it's most effective to completely ignore character stats and resistances, and pretty much put all level up points into tower boosts. Also, spending mana on equipment (especially equipment that also boosts tower stats) is mana well spent.
I'm properly hooked on this bloody game now - there haven't been many PSN games that can occupy me for an entire evening, but this is one. That puts it in the same league as Battlefield 1943, Wipeout and Warhawk IMO.

Just played a brilliant game of dungeon defenders with Charlie.
The game was great fun we played the servants quarters map after we played the alchemical lab just to get some mana and items for Charlie.
The servant quarters is a good map, and quite easy actually. Its a very complicated and convoluted map, we did manage to do it the second time around after made a few mistakes in the first one but once we managed to tweak our defences we destroyed them in the second round.
Dave, Symonator, you need to get on this game because it is such a good fun brilliant time consuming game, spent more time playing this than battlefield so far.
^all this was entered via dragon dictate... Took me longer than if I typed it.

LMAO, sound strategy that ^
Yeah, GGs Daz - this game is way better with mates.
And I've been playing a while now and still not really dented the levels. Just enjoying farming equipment and ranking up at the moment.

Much better on PS3 - apparently, Jay xXMcLovinXx has it on android tab and doesn't like the controls too much.

LOL I do believe Daz is getting bitten by the RPG bug...we may get him to the end of Dark Souls yet...
I think the bottom line of that apprentice DPS break down is that you're better off upgrading equipment rather than your damage stat after a point. I prefer putting points in trap stats anyway.

Yer I have. Sword upgraded plus 13
An I take out the orgs in level 5 pretty dam quick!
It's one of the higher swords in the game.
Don't forget you can buy great weapons an armour from your shop keeper for mana that you collect in game.
It's expensive so spend it wisely,
But really speed an health is all you want on ur characters stats, an casting too maybe...
Damage I have not seen it take much effect am 30+ on mine now.
What you looking for answers on? This has been around on IOS for a good 6 months. Killed It back to back.
An on me android it's sweet as I connect up me ps3 controller, use that via Bluetooth an connect it up to me tv on HDMI,
Game always travels with me then hehe!! Great killer on the train

I was saving like a mad man to buy a new pet after giving Jay and Charlie mine.
Pets are familiars that can do a shed load of damage to the hoard and help improve other stats.
But last night I played with Jay and Charlie from 8pm to 2am straight!
Just before I left for the night I gave Jay 60,000 mana to help him upgrade his staff...
So today I jumped on with the intention of farming the mana back, and I played Alchemical Lab on Survival mode. Got to level 14 and once I'd done that that was it, it was getting very boring. My defences were spot on, nothing got through EVER, all I did was run around collecting kit and mana, dropping the odd mana bomb and minor repairs.
But I got the to end of level 14.. eventually and was given a nice gift:
GoRT!
