I think they should have released an MP demo only personally. I can't see the point of the single player portion. It's already the most anticipated game of this year so far... it's not like they need to win over the public.

looks great!

personally i think a mass effect Mini series might be better, fuck if it was anywhere as good as the BSG mini series it'd be a win. id be a major pedant though, the only way i would watch it would be is if it all looked the same! all the aliens look the same, all the ships look the same, weapons the same etc. its already fully visualised you dont need to redsign it

Some news for ya Pud.
EA shipped 3.5million copies worldwide and sold 900,000 in the US alone.

The N7 Collectors Edition is sold out completely in the UK, only the standard version is available now.

lol nice

an interesting bit of news is the day one DLC, basically it gives you a new squadmate, background to the ancient protheans and a new mission and a new weapon i think.

most people agree its not neccesary to have but many feel that they have taken out a important piece of the story and a character and made you pay for it. its £8 on the store if i was to get it that would push it over the £40 limit i have on games so im not amused either since im something of a story complitionist ill want it at some point, just not yet.

so far im really enjoying it. ive only played a few hours since its been my birthday and i went out last night im a bit worse for wear so i dont want to play it hung over but the scope of what faces you is quite overwhelming in some cases

Hearing alot of good things about this game.
More good than bad at least.

So mechanics.. what can u do in this game?
Is it free roam or are u stuck in locations until u complete areas.

If you're considering getting this I really recommend playing the second one first (and the first on PC if you can be arsed).

It's essentially a third-person cover-based shooter with RPG elements. Missions themselves are pretty linear, but you have a spaceship that can roam the galaxy going to whatever planet takes your fancy.

There are several hub type worlds where you can pick up side-quests and buy shit. The main pull of the game is the story, which is pretty well told via great voice acting, and obviously a codex type thing which I couldn't be arsed reading. Another thing people like is that you can import from the previous game(s plural if you're not on PS3) and the choices you made (e.g. kill this dude, help that dude) persist throughout the series. I'm crap at remembering what I did though, so all that washes over me.

There's also a co-op online component to the new game that is very similar to Warhammer's non-competitive DLC that we all tried briefly. That was pretty good in the demo...

well im really enjoying the game so far but im a bit worried about where its going. only because of the rage on the internet about the ending.

i know there is rage, thats it, ive not looked into it any furthur, i cant judge until i get there, will all my virtuous decisions pay off? so far they have....

LOL yeah. It sounds like he's basically saying "we listen to fans, but we reviewed well so STFU haters". Man, I really got to get this game and see what all the fuss is about.

Im now 3 missions away from Endgame. ive basically found every asset i could possibly find but i may have missed out one or two as my effective military strength is below 4000 without input from multiplayer.

im now doing some multiplayer

read on Infinites if you want something that isnt a massive spoiler but you may prefer to ignore
allegedly the magic EMS number for the best ending is 4000+ possibly even 5000 this may not take in to account decisions you made through the game, you could be a twat still have over 4k and still loose? im not sure.

The mission that assaults the cerberus base in the horsehead nebula is the point of no return, complete all purchases, fetch quests and war assest finding before that.
