Dragon's Dogma is fucking excellent. I know you're all into that zombie thing at the moment, but anyone interested in a great mix between Oblivion and Dark Souls should bear this in the back on their mind.
I'll try and get a review up on the blog next week.

Zombies are the single most retarded fad the public has ever had IMO. And I don't have a spare £1.5k to buy hardware to play a beta. And even if a gaming rig was only £200 I still don't have it spare, nor the space to put it...
Anyway Dragon's Dogma has skeleton knights and undead mages which are way more threatening than stupid assed zombies

The mod is very little about actual zombies, it is more about PvE (player vs environment) and PvP (player vs player). You could be modding with your skills especially when ArmA 3 is out. It took Rocket (the creator) from zero to hero over night LOL

yeah Charlie the zombie thing is really an attachment, the game is about surviving, getting better gear etc, very pve focused, but also some pvp to mix it up.
We have a group of i think 15 now in teamspeak all surviving, raiding etc, i know you would love it, it is infact right up our streets, i'm like you - zombie games suck.. except this one!
Also back to topic.
Dogma looks good i watch a guy on youtube playing it, it has some real nice boss encounters, credit goes to the designers on it.
In all honesty if i wasn't back into pc gaming in general i probably would of already got dogma.

I'm sure I would like it, but I still don't have the time, money, space or inclination for a desktop PC. Hopefully it will take off and a full blown console game will come out...
Like Minecraft on XBLA.
Especially with the PS SDK going live at the end of the year and being in beta now.

Mac OS X Use
"X Code" for IOS Development (Objective C)
"Coda" For Web Based languages plus some C (Best Program i have come across to date)

"Eclipse" For C and Java
"Notepad ++" For some Web Work
'PhpED" For Web Based Languages
"Microsoft Visual Fox Pro" If any of you are old enough to know that language
Linux

Dave, I think KK means what do I code on if I can't be arsed with a PC
KK - I have a Mac laptop for all my coding and surfing needs. If it can run Arma 2 and that mod, I'll get on it, but I can't even be arsed to check... (Laptop's pretty new as it was an insurance replacement, so should be high-ish spec).
Dave - which game are you going to give a go? Dragon's Dogma or Day Z?
EDIT: I quick and by no means extensive Google seems to make me think I could get Arma 2 for Mac, but not the Day Z mod. I could be wrong as I didn't look too hard, but I would have thought I wouldn't need to if it was happening...
Actually scratch that - Arma 2 is a DX9 engine and not even on Mac.

While I remember, random pro-tip for anyone that does bother picking this up...
Before doing anything, go into options and turn off pawn subtitles, control layout and hints. They may not be the exact names, but they are something like that.
There's also an option to toggle how the mini-map works, and the defualt is to have north always pointing at 12 o'clock. I hate that - I prefer to have my direction at 12 o'clock so I needed to toggle that too.
Cinematic camera can get annoying after a while too, but it's probably worth leaving on for a bit.

Sweet

Dragon's Dogma Sequel in the works
Players have fought countless monsters and mythological creatures in Capcom's Dragon's Dogma (as well as one of the worst game names of all time), and it looks as though the battle may continue. Capcom has told investors in Japan that the game was being nurtured into a franchise, which means a sequel could be on the way.
The open-world RPG has shipped a million copies worldwide, which isn't the first time something like this has happened at Capcom. "Dragon's Dogma has become Capcom's 55th title to top the one million level, demonstrating once again that Capcom ranks among the world's leading game producers in terms of technical and development skills," Capcom wrote in a press release.
"Dragon's Dogma is part of Capcom's basic strategy of establishing game franchises through the creation of new brands. This game was developed with the goal of creating another pillar of earnings for Capcom alongside Monster Hunter and Sengoku Basara."
Game-development costs are high, which makes publishers understandably wary about turning out "one and done" releases. If they have the opportunity to crank out a few sequels based on existing IP (audience willing), you can be that'll happen. Just look at the list of games shown at E3 for the past few years. If you haven't noticed all the 2s and 3s following game names, you haven't been paying attention.
