Take me Home Tonight:
Watched it last night, great film and great 80's soundtrack too.
Worth 90 minutes of anyone's time. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0810922/
Knowing:
Once you know the plot it's a bit less interesting 2nd time around, but the special effects are amazing.
Still a good Nicolas Cage film, and the lovely rose Byrne too! Hubbahubba. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448011/

Band of brothers:
The story of Easy Company of the US Army 101st Airborne division and their mission in WWII Europe from Operation Overlord through V-J Day.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0185906/
Probably the best TV Mini-Series ever made, and I think it's the highest ranking listing on IMDB at 9.6 I dont think there's anything higher.
Had this one bought by Chris for my birthday last year on Blu-Ray, even when the day arrives that blu-ray dies and is replaced... this will be upgraded too. Absolutely 'effin brilliant.

Sy Parrish leads a lonely life, operating a photo lab in a SavMart department store. He escapes his dreary reality through the family photos of Nancy Yorkin and her family. His admiration of the Yorkins becomes an obsession, as he fashions himself as Uncle Sy.
I watched this again last night, but i thought i would put it here.
I think it is quite a good storyline, especially when the "twist" happens because if you had not read anything about this film, when it finishes you would probably feel sorry for sy (robin williams).
Basically he wants a normal family life and can't have it, then he finds out the family's husband has cheated and goes out of his way to teach him a lesson.
You would initially think he was jealous of what he doesn't have, but in the end, you will see, it is not.
One to watch

A collection of old and new movies.
Starting with:
Once upon a time in the west.
Directed by Sergio Leone, he made some great westerns, and this is supposed to be his best, and it's good no doubt about that. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064116/
Red Planet:
Not the best movie in this topic, but still good entertainment for a first viewing, and if you've not seen in it in a long time. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0199753/
Very bad things:
I haven't seen this is years, and while it's not quite as good as when I first saw it, it's still funny, and Christian Slater is just so good at being bad. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0124198/
GasHole:
Asks the question of why we dont have cars capable of 100mpg or even 1000mpg. Places the blame squarely on the oil cartels.
Good documentary with some fascinating archive footage and news clippings of a 5ton car that does 100mpg in the 50's. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1333998/
Finally, one of my all time favourite movies...
Dog Soldiers:
A squad of british soldiers play wargames with a squad of special unit, only trouble is... werewolves intervene. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0280609/
Favourite line, one of the soldiers is about to be killed and eaten, and he turns to a werewolf and says: "I hope I give you the shits".
An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
Just watched it and I loved it.
One to go and see when it hit's the UK.
This picture makes Caesar look evil, he's not.

Glad to hear it's good - I like the look of that from the trailer, but you never really know from a trailer.

There even some "homages" to the original movie.
I wont spoil it, but they're there and one of the lines did make me laugh out loud.

True Grit. Bloody amazing film I thought. Matt Daemon and Jeff Bridges as the main characters. With the Coen brothers directing and writing.
A shrewd FBI agent with a lost past who arrives in the small town of Haven, Maine, to solve the murder of a local ex-con only to discover that the curious enclave is a longtime refuge for people with supernatural powers that holds a lot of secrets, including to her own past.
She has no past. She has no family. She was raised in an orphanage. So, she lives for what she does best: be an FBI agent. That's why Audrey Parker is sent to a distant Maine village called Haven, to investigate the crime of a prison fugitive. What she does not know, is that her past is connected to that village, that old threats from the past are coming back, and she is going to be a central piece on everyone's life... or death.
So far it's absolutely riveting.
But it's also one of those TV shows I love to hate, why? Because I've just watched 20 episodes in 2 days and I still want more.
It's a little like Heroes but without the flashing backwards and forwards in time. But I think it might also be a little like Lost where it gets milked for all it's worth, I hope not, I do hope it has an ending that wraps everything up.
It's compulsive viewing though thats for sure.
Written by Stephen King, the stories take place in a town called Haven in Maine. Based on supernatural incidents, FBI Agent Audrey Parker must discover the who is causing the "troubles", and at the same time, try to decipher her own past.

I see you got the MovieSheets working Daz.
Have you been able to get the cover flow one working?
And how do you have them Laid out, All Movie and Movie Sheets in one folder? Sub Folders? or your own folder for Movie Sheets?

^ Nice tip with Haven Daz, cheers. I'll definitely check that one out - always on the look out for class DVD box sets.
I recently watched Unstoppable again and it's still awesome. I saw it randomly on the plane to Canada and it was the best of the bunch, but I saw it in Tescos for £8 the other day so bagged it.
Tony Scott + Denzel Washington. 'Nuff said. But in case it's not, here's the trailer:
