I'm giving it time on the first play through - 60 hours in and about 6 side quests left before going through the Omega relay. I've gone Paragon on this playthrough, but on insane I'm gonna be a bitch. But it won't take as long because I know how shit works now, where as before I spent hours wandering around the Normandy and mining and shit.

Anyway - you can talk. You can't even be arsed to complete insanity for the plat LOL :p

Nah I had done all missions before going to the relay, so didn't fall into that trap. I did let Zaeed (or whatever his name is - the DLC bounty hunter) take the crew back to the Normandy and he got whacked, but otherwise I didn't lose anyone else on the suicide mission.

Just started Insanity difficulty and fuck me it's hard. I imported my previous character, so I think I'll make a new character from scratch instead because apparently it's a bit easier.

if you want to save all the crew do the following

After Reaper IFF activate legion, do his loyalty mission, crew will then be abducted, before this make sure all crew members are loyal, all side missions have been done and all upgrades applied/bought.

after the abduction heads straight onto the suicide mission, make sure you got all the ship upgrades too or the normandy will get battered and crew will die.

First part of the mission allow miranda to command the other team.

Send Mordin back with the crew

Second part i usually take Samara for the biotic field, Jack to blast away the husks, and legion for his combat drone which is a great distraction.

for the final part leave all the heavy hitters behind, the soldier type people will ensure the others survive, i usually take miranda or jack with me, their warp powers are great on armor.

i did this and i got everyone home safe, also i cant reccomend warp ammo enough, its the shit and no need to swap ammo powers.

also save the CAIN nuke launcher for the human reaper, two shots should fuck it up nicely even on insanity

Easier said than done at that stage. I failed two loyalty missions... Zaeed's because I was being good so saved the workers instead of chasing the guy. And the one where you have to follow the guy from the rafters, because I was looking for upgrades and lost him LMAO.

I just didn't realise that they die if they're not loyal. That is unintuitive. Other than that it's piss easy with common sense. I redid it straight after in the exact same way but sent Tali back with the crew instead. Job's a good 'un.

zaeeds fairly easy to save, i usually do his loyalty mission first, just constantly pick paragon option throughout and use paragon interupts all the time,

on the assasin blokes one there is one upgrade for heavy pistol immediately to your right when starting after that dont worry :D

also you may find this amusing

That only works if you are high enough Paragon level - Zaeed was pretty much the first guy I went for, and at that point, I wasn't used to the cutscene interupts so may have missed one...

Yeah, that's why I failed the mission the bastards. After that I had to look everywhere... Now I know that is the only collectible up there.

Yeah I picked that up pretty quick. I did all top options on my first play through and I'm doing all bottom options on my insanity play through. I have to say, I'm really enjoying being a wanker. And it makes the cutscenes refreshing because they go in a different direction.

That's pretty much exactly how I left my Paragon play through - except Wrex. Did you find the Asari on Ilium with a message from the Rachni queen?
yorkshirepudding wrote:how did a SPACE MARINE theread goes this way!!!
I wondered the same and thought about getting it back on topic, but then thought fuck it :D

Fucking idiots. When playing a shooter, try not aiming at the ground 3 feet ahead for one. When you keep getting owned by rampaging into the middle - stop doing it.

(I haven't watched it with sound, so don't if/what they are saying...)
