Am sure you can make it work if you can route it through a proxy,
Be detecting your IP Address
I'm going through a proxy to get netflix working. PSN Store cards are region protected, but just login to a PSN account that you registered as north american and it should work. I have done this before you know Dave.

But credit cards are very different, they use the name and address on the PSN account to verify the users details.

Obviously the visa card is registered here in the UK and not in Canada.

I've just discovered why yesterdays code failed:
Sony are now checking IP addresses, and if you're NOT from a north American IP, it wont process the PSN card codes.

It's either that or Canada and USA now have different cards and codes.

Either way, I created a dedicated USA account and changed to a USA DNS on my PS3, and that seemed to work fine.

The thing is, if SCEE weren't such cretins, we wouldn't need to make US accounts...

Just purchased and downloaded MW3 with the game of the year offer @ $69.99
Guess what, the game will only look for North American servers.
Even when I tried a Spec Ops game with Chris, it created so much lag that we constantly get kicked from each others games.

Can you not join Chris? Presumably he's got an EU copy?

We can join each others lobby, but I can't join him without an invite, and I cant join a multiplayer game on my own at all.

If there locking Region EU and US
I think its fucking stupid.

It should be determined on your IP Location.

So what if i move to US tomorrow and took all my MP games with me and my Playstation, i would have a Lag fest because it would connect me to every EU Server instead of a US server closer to me.

Mind you sounds about right for Sony and there COCKUPS!

Same shit with Demon Souls Regional Copys!!

Yep, plus games are supposed to be region free.
Looks like I've spent all I'm going to on PSN/Playstation3/4

I wont be getting a PS4 next year, and absofuckinglutely not another PS3.
I'm done with Sony.
