according to some reading i have been doing:

Ouija boards appear to work because of the 'ideomotor effect', which is where a person makes motions unconsciously.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideomotor_effect

Derren Brown has made quite a few programs exposing the scams and tricks behind seances/psychics etc

I'm not adverse to other planes of existance either or dimensions, but a cup and a piece of paper? i think if i did it because i would want to disprove it you wouldnt get a result from me if the ideomotor effect is to be believed

Well yep, that deffo happens in some cases pud, i have no doubt at all.. i thought it all was a load of bullshit aswell.

But i have tried it and some strange things have happened that just wouldn't, a blind moves on it's own like someone brushed past it, a lamp wobbled (on a flat surface?)
Dog barks at the wall.
The same night i used the board in the morning the deodrant cans were on the floor, standing up...

talkin of ghosts though...not related to the board..
My dad says he gets feeling that someone is watching him and he seen a shadow on the wall walk down the stairs..
About 3 years ago i saw a "grey clay face" in the mirror, it sent shivers down my spine - just like "someone walked over me grave" as the saying goes.

My brother had plastic bag rattling noises in the night a few months ago, when he put his slippers on the next day, the bags were stuffed in the slipper...

My friend had a vicar/priest come to his house back in 1998ish, they kept getting knocking noises from the dining area, the dogs would also never go in that room, or anywhere near it..the dining table used to move a few feet during the night.
The priest did a cleansing and they seem to be fine now..

deffo something around us, i just don't think everyone is susceptible to it though.
It's something you need to see for yourself before you can believe anything, i think.

And some of these Psychic/mediums are fake, they get someone to stand in the queues and get alot of information before the shows, also some are pre-selected audiences.. people who can be easily read.
It is a crime to call yourself a Psychic and not know anything really, this is why they need never to be caught, severely punishble by law.

When I was a kid, and I dont think I was even at school, I do vaguely remember my parents and some friends and neighbours getting together to play the ouija board.

I dont remember much about it, only that everyone was terrified and my parents made me swear to never do it myself.

Over dinner I've asked her about it, she still refuses to talk about it and the look she gave me when I mentioned we were having this discussion froze me instantly.

I just wish I could remember it, but I was too young.
