Youtube will recode it anyway for 2mbit downloading.
Dont bother recoding it yourself if you're not going to edit the file.
You can lower the bit rate this way too, I usually upload at 4.5-5.5mbits
I only use higher bitrates for fast action video's.
hmm okay =P so whats the best format to record in and upload straight to youtube? and higher bitrates for fast action games you mean when its alot of movements in the game right?

also i see your posting on my friends channel saying you have problems with sony vegas.. what problem u got.

also answer to your question is if your not editing a file upload the m2ts..if your editing you need to render a mp4 or wmv at 8mbps.

bitrate is very important for videos, dj hero needs a high capture bitrate 8mbps minimum where as a sony theme would need maybe 4/5

its when you are gonna change the bit rate to 8,000,000 it changes back to 192,000 or something =P yeah i recorded dj hero in 8 bit rate and rendered it in 8 bit rate wmv in vegas

also when im recording and not rendering the videos in vegas its still flashes like in DJ Hero :P like the fretboard is moving kinda weird but its annoying as hell =P

hmm - something is not right = u should produce much much better quality
(in sharpness and clarity)
can u screenshot your sony vegas settings? for the encoder part please..

i mean your vids are fine - just we need to get that detail in a bit more..

Ahh, seems you have a sony bug, and u can't fix it.. because even if you save your template it will default back to 192,000, only sony vegas 8 pro build c saves mp4 profiles, its a software bug.
(chances are if u didnt pay for sony - u cant download the update to fix it :) )

Only way to get round that bug is use sony vegas 8c pro.

so u need to use a wmv profile, can u screenshot them settings please.

also what flashes pvr on your pc? i know laptop power packs interfere with it, apart from that no idea unless you can record that issue.

actually looking at my templates you could use sony avc mp4, which would save your bitrate and is created for youtube...

which would be this:
utube.JPG
utube.JPG (63.86 KiB) Viewed 2044 times
just goto tab: system and change to mp4

ok wmv looks good so far..

alter

compression debuffering to 3 or 4
smoothness to 100% (sharpest)
then goto tab prject and set to best.

that would be a full wmv hd file.

u know they work for me.

anyways.. yes i see the flashes - is this happening on the hd pvr?
or is it once u rendered, it looks like its pixelating to me.. what file type was that?

As for that mp4 template, i'd stick with wmv overall, it was just a suggestion for you to try.

anyways flashes..

are them flashes happening on the raw video or after encoding?
try rendering the same video in the wmv profile i explained earlier.

Its happening after im done recording not sure if its happening during the recording and that was a m2ts file, and after i rendered it to mp4 i cant see the flashes anymore, not me anyway =/ well you said mp4 is best so i want that haha =D
