Wipeout HD 2.0 went live yesterday

In preparation for Fury on Thursday.

It does a load of shit you can read about when you've downloaded it, but a couple of things of note:

It makes it really easy to play online with mates - you can press select to get a window of all online friends (in Wipeout) and send them nudges etc.

Stats. Fuck me, there's like 6 pages of stats - and they're are represented in ways very cool and specific to each stat. I never knew that nearly half of all my laps (over 1.3k) were perfect. And yet ironically, the majority of damage I get is from walls.


Go get patched in preparation for Thursday. Fury looks shit hot:

Yeah I thought that too. But I suspect it will be more than 100k. They only need to put the new ships in the patch. You're never going to see the new tracks unless you've bought them, so there's no need for them to be available if you don't have the track.

Maybe it's a version number thing? I'm willing to bet that Sony asserts that the version numbers have to be the same for games to connect online.

To be fair though, 100mb is fuck all considering the extra content Fury brings (in terms of assets).
