im a bit dissapointed in it.!
Perhaps it wont be an issue for us.. i count at least 27 ppl on my list who play battlefield reguarly and are getting bf:43.

But it sucks for other people who dont have mates playing this game.

I like the idea of small groups, on a smaller map. 2142 used to resize the map depending on how many players your sever was setup for.
But whats wrong with 4v4 6v6
still....
It's only supposed to be a small release, yet it might turn out to be one of their biggest hits for a long time.
1942 was a good game, and got a lot of people into the BF Franchise, a lot of players, I think, want to go back to the grass roots game play.

im not an expert but why not do it like kz2, ie minimum of 2 for ranked

is that so hard, the smaller the number of people playing, the better the game will play, ie no lag, smooth frame rate etc

Killzone uses peer 2 peer, means one of few players running hosts and the rest are clients. shit fucking model as well.

I think it works well, it's always looking for a faster host in case the original host leaves. So it keeps that server and config going.

If that were true, they wouldn't have bothered with it in the first place. That's a great response from GVD too.

Man, I know you guys want Battlefield to be greater than it is, but from a developer point of view, you'll probably find that nearly every "it would be better if..." or "why can't we have..." or "it doesn't do..." has been considered internally by the dev team.

But you know what? Development is a business. It has to make money. Some things get cut, some get put on hold and some will never see the light of day. Not because they're bad ideas or unfeasible, but because it doesn't make business sense.

If you don't operate in this way, you end up like 3D Realms with Duke Nukem Forever.

Now I know I would rather see Battlefield Bad Company in it's present state and look forward to more from Dice in the future, than see BF:BC in the state that everyone whinging on the forums would like to see along with Dice going bust and it being their swan song.

I know what you're saying infinite, it's just disappointing sometimes to see potential in games that is'nt met.
And it's because of decisions Devs make to cut back on certain areas. Dice are well known for making excellent squad based games, but to leave it out of BFBC was in my humble opinion, a bad one, and the wrong one.
I did post after GVD saying You make them, we ungrateful people play them. And we are, ungratefull at times because we DONT see the work that goes into making them.

I think its fair on some level. They only have a certain amount of servers and last thing we need is noobs taking them up with 1v1 servers, althought 16 players is hard to come by on the PS3


Oh btw if anyone was wondering i wasnt on my ps3 at weekend i had family over so it got dominated and i imagine theyd probally be dickheads on psn msgs as it wasnt their user o_o

Believe me mate, it's more annoying as a developer to have features that are piss easy to implement cut by cunts in suits who don't want the extra QA time or whatever other fucking gay reasons they dreamt up that morning to justify they fucking pointless existence in the whole process. Nice reply :)

Trust me, developers on the frontline (i.e. people like me that actually make the game, the top 10% or so of the credit list) just want to make the best product possible from the point of view of the player. You will often find people working late to get a unscheduled feature in.

It's all the other fuckwits, most of whom are probably oblivious to the project, or at least ignorant of what it even is, that fuck things up.
