I was thinking of kicking back, relaxing and putting on some tunes.
Now one of the ways I could listen is on my Hi-Fi, but how do I get my mp3's on there?
1. Via CD, this mean writing a disk with all the music I think I'd want on there.
2. USB memory stick - same as the above but faster and bigger.
3. Good old radio (DAB) - I have to listen to what they broadcast.
4. How about this, a USB memory stick that also has wi-fi built in, some software that navigates shared folders and then downloads and plays them.
Now think about it for a sec, how many devices now accept USB for music? Plenty, TV's Hi-Fi's, PS3's and plenty more.
So my question is this, does number 4 exist?
does this hardware exist?

i just slam youtube through my smartTV
talking about hardware MiniDisc is no more!
i actually went to the trouble in the early 2000s to buy a net MD player which was like a forerunner to burning tracks willy nilly onto a cd or even before mp3 players became vogue. i got it mainly for the gym! and it worked a treat never let me down. and then i spent a decent sum replacing the tape player in my ford focus mk1 with a sony MD head unit, later on i discovered i could hookup my iPod by fooling it into thinking it was a cd player
but back in 2004? 80 tracks on a MD? THAT WAS THE SHIT BRO
