so i got one off ebay second hand, and it worked like a dream for all those years, the battery has become rubbish but it did the job, good wifi, nice speed, nice design and a COM port! useful for the line of work i was in at the time. but the old gal started creaking and when i was made redundant i shut it away like some forgotten relic
until today, some days you wake up and decide "im gonna do *this* today!" well i decided to format the old girl and reinstall Windoze xp.
the jobs done now and my my how smooth these virgin installs run.... I'd almost forgotten how pleasing it can be to resurrect a perfectly decent piece of hardware simply bogged down by months and years of crap.
sadly the worst part though is Windoze updates......
its not bad either for an old laptop 15in screen, hotswappable media bays, Celeron M processor and 1gb of RAM (upgraded by moi)
probably should have put linux on it too bollocks
