I used to have a Problem some years ago with the ATI Cataylis Control Enter.

It was that, that would eat up my CPU.

After i configured the Settings i wanted, I would Kill the Utility from loading at startup, and never had an issue then after.

I found ingame i never had any issues with Loss in graphics, as long as it was configured Prior

Then again where talking some years ago when i used to do PC gaming,
So i cannot remember the exact processes that where eating the CPU

hello lads sorry been fighting with the computer all afternoon AND i have found the cause and the solution

it turns out that Microsoft uaa bus driver for HD audio is sharing the same IRQ port as my graphics card, how this stupid MS shite got on ill never know, but if i remove it from under system components in device manager, INSTANTLY processor usage dips off to barely nothing AND the computer and card runs like a dream i fired up Jedi Knight Outcast to test it and swoooosh like a dream

anyway it turns out that this Microsoft piece of shite causes other people lots of problems also, its to do with routing Audio through the HDMI output on the card, this is not what i need or want im using DVI or VGA.

So herin lies the conundrum. i need to remove this offender, trouble is when i unistall at from the devices list, and reboot the system, the bastard comes back and so far im stumped as to how to stop it
HELP

ive had enough today ive been at it 6 hours now ive got it to a stage where it works this driver thing just needs eradicating
An explosion now and then is nice. Keeps the mind sharp,
