Movies of 2010 - 2011:

Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Rating - 10/10
Scott pilgrim leads a relatively happy life as a member of a band and a slacker in general, but when he meets a new girl he falls in love and find love hurts and must defeat her 7 evil exes to keep her for himself
absolutely joyous geekfest of the highest calibre directed by Edgar Wright of spaced/shaun of the dead/hot fuzz fame you cant go wrong its a treat.


The Town - 2010
Rating - 9/10
Plot: Group of people Rob a bank, a woman is used as a Hostage and one of the robbers get personal (Romantic) after she is released, FBI Close it
My Review: Story line is great, the Acting was Superb!! As bad as Ben Affleck has been in alot of film! he is outstanding in this one!
I Highly recommend this film

Kick-ASS
Rating - 9/10
Superheroes come to life, although they are not really that super just bumbling idiots who try to take on crime!
Fantastically funny superhero fun, with lots of poking of the fun at comic book characters, nick cage is a great Batman piss take and hit girl swears! a swearing pre-teen!, magic!

Toy Story 3
Rating - 9/10
Andy finally goes to college to get drunk and shag birds and the toys are left without a purpose, eventually finding them selves in a children's play-school where all is not as it seems!
A wonderful end to the Toy Story Trilogy, this isnt a disneeee film its pixar, and pixar are pretty damn good, its a mishmash of other films, with a liberal sprinkling of the great escape but its all good fun, especially Spanish Buzz lightyear, WIN

HP and the deathly Hallows pt1
Rating - 8/10
Harry must set out with his mates to find hidden magical artefacts that hold a part of his greatest enemies soul and destroy them one by one before he can face down his foe Voldemort who is turning the UK into the country into a evil wizarding state
The best of a recently average bunch, potter starts to grow up, people die, friends fall out, LOTR gets copied a bit but its a great 'road film' with magic in it (litteraly) i am a potter fan though so im a bit biased

TRON: Legacy
Rating - 8/10
The son of the original protagonist Flynn gets sucked into the digital world of the grid that his father created in an attempt to track down his father and prevent his evil digital clone from conquering the world BWAHAHAHHAAH
An audio and visual feast for the senses but not much for the brain to chew on, see it with that in mind and you wont be disappointed, essential for fans of the original TRON


legend of the guardians
Rating - 8/10
a young owl named soran is captured by an evil force bent on conquring the owl world, he must lead a rag tag bunch of friends to the legendary guardians of gahoole in order to enlist there help and save the world!
ok its a bit of a kids film, and its a bit like an owl LOTR with some seven samurai but BUGGER ME this is the most beautiful film in the 3D i have seen this year.


Iron Man 2
Rating - 7/10
Tony stark goes off the rails a bit stops being a dick and beats the shit out of some rivals armour suit.
Decent sequel not as good as the first but RDJ still entertains massively as Tony Stark, the effects are great as always, and who doesnt like robots beating the shit out of one another, also it ties in with the wider Avenger arc, win!

Robin Hood
Rating - 7/10
Robin takes up the mantle of a murdered noble and helps protect his village and new missus from tyranny in England, its a sort of Robin Hood Begins, well made, but not as 'fun' as prince of thieves

POP: The sands of Time
Rating - 7/10
a street urchin turned prince must clear his name and reclaim his murdered step-fathers throne from his evil uncle.
as computer game film adaptions go it didnt suck a fun swords and sand romp


Chronicles of Narnia: voyage of the dawntreader
Rating - 7/10
the two youngest pevensie children return to narnia with their cousin euastace in order to help prince caspian find the lost lords of narnia
better than the 2nd film adaption but still not that impressive, i hold the BBC adaptions with much more regard, still its a good film, but when you get older the obvious Christian overtones become a bit too much like a visit to church! still fun mind.


The A-Team
Rating - 3/10
A Rag tag special USA forces team must try to clear their name and recover some Money printing equipment
