Swapping from PS3 to Xbox 360

I never use the itunes visualizer, so no wonder I have'nt seen it.
And no wonder I could'nt find it on the xbox.

Anyways, came across a very big negative last night. I plays only a very small number of movie codecs, meaning you wont be able to watch all the films you want on it.
Almost every hd film i tried failed, considering the ps3 plays virtually everything you can throw at it.
So I'll be sticking with my excellent media center/console.

I had a PS1 years back and had maybe 15 games in total. All original. Not one copy. I loved all my games and played them all to death...I'd rather get my monies worth and enjoy what I have than rush through 10 mins of a game and move on. I'd never have time for starters.

Hate the xbox one - maybe cos I've only ever used the Sony ones and I've been tainted. The whole thing just feels twisted to one side...

Same here, but it's a conditioning thing - given time I could get used to the XBox controller. I borrowed my bro's XBox (before he converted to the light) and played that Battlefield rip off with the RC drones (dunno the name) and it cramped my hand something chronic.

Graphics.
OK, the graphics are almost identical, and maybe the interactive graphics when you play an audio track is better on the xbox (if you like that kind of thing - which I do!) - but that's not enough for me to jump ship.

Give it time - how long did it take dev's to start getting the most out of the PS2? We have no way seen the capacity of the PS3 yet. Uncharted 2 looks like it will be a good indication of things to come...

Price.
ok, they win again. But if the PS3 was as cheap you'd get riff raff playing moe than not and you'd never be able to find a decent server, for example, when playing squad games. Noob noob noob.

That looks like it's set to change, for better or worse.

I have one major problem with swapping, and thats using the ps3 as a media center, it just rox your world.
Now the 360 wont stream HD video, or is very specific about video types/codecs. So is there a different way of doing it?
I dont fancy writing dvd's all the time, but I do have a 120gig external HDD, but again, the 360 only supports fat 32. Now I've heard that it does support extfs, which supports 4+gig files, so maybe thats an option if it's just streaming thats a problem.
Ideas anyone?

£200 for a elite now, 120gb - its a good deal - when you look at refurb costs at £145 or slim for £220-50

I woud think common sense that many peeps will lap up the deal.

If i had a spare £200 i'd get one, but i don't so i can't.

wow what a massive bump AL.

I got a 360, played it for 3 months then sold it.
The community is shit, full of kids on the mic, honestly i reckon i heard 5 year olds on it.

I liked the dashboard and some of the features, but apart from that..

I will never swap - I borrowed my brother's 360 once but my hands are so conditioned to a Dual Shock that the offset design of the 360 controller really fucked my hands up.

That and I think it's a console coming to the end of it's life...

What's wrong with microsoft. With over 80% of machines that have a product of microsoft installed. If its the os or packages they offer. There in 75% of retail shops. With pos ready. Wepos and embeded as a os. Thats not including any packages.

I would say there doing pretty good job.

Just u get more ppl complain bout it because there is more of them.

Am sure if mac had as many users it could be on far.

Ps3 ylod...... Same thing poor contacts on bored over time with the board expanding an shrinking with the heat. Breaks damages the solder points.

I've got a 360, it's been sat on my desk for 6 months. I bought my mom a PS3 off ebay (faulty bluray) and installed all my PSN downloads.
The xbox was turned on twice, once to play Trials HD, and once to format it and sell it.

oh very true and its not usually their products although is loathe Vista and windows 7 i dont care what anyone says i think they are shite. but its sometimes they way they conduct business i suppose i dont have any good reasons to give you other than im just not keen on MS
