Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Is Dangerous.

Tell you what, picked this game up for £10 brand new from shopto the other day.. i bought it about 2 years ago orginally but hated it and traded it.. wasn't used to rpg on the console at that time..

But yesterday i played it from like 5pm till gone 8am this morning.. lol!
Seriously gets addictive at times...

slighly slow for gameplay in some places, there is alot of glitches in it and it gets dull at times.. but for £10 you can get very carried away on it...

I contracted the vampire disease, so now i can only fucking move around at night and i have to feed on ppl so merchants will speak to me - without seeing i am a monster.. just working on a cure right now...which is time consuming.

But yeah this game has loads and loads to do in it, spell making, potion making, weapon enchanting to name but a few..
The world is massive.. buying and selling shit too - robbing houses for tat and bits n pieces is fun on its own, pick pocket .. and you can go into fps mode aswell, use horses..

It can be alot of fun.

I had a bit of fun with it for a while - just the simple things like sunset... But the over time, jumping off rocks at every opportunity to rank up gets annoying. Playing it in third person (which is my preference for custom characters) sucks because of the animations and floaty movement...

But worse of all, I found the combat incredibly dull and there isn't a nice constant flow of better equipment. If the combat was more like Demon's Souls and there was a gradual improvement of equipment over time instead of just finding some quality stuff in the first portal, I'd still be playing it now.

I wanted to love it because it's exactly my kind of game, and I did put some hefty hours into, but it just lacks in certain core areas that I can't overlook. The brief time I spent playing Fallout before my copy of Demon's Souls turned up makes me look forward to going back to that and giving it the attention it deserves...

I looked at some vids on this game and it looks pretty cool, what put me off gettin this was the 1st person combat and the poor graphics and animation in battles.

Now i have only watched this on youtube so dont kill me lol. Would be nice to see some vids fom u sys

There is a big reason i don't do ruse videos.

1.All Youtubers seem to be armchair pro gamers.

2.RTS games are complicated for alot of people to watch.
(I would need to commentate on what is going on)

They are the main reasons, can't really just upload a "gameplay" vid without telling people what actually is going on, not everyone will understand the video, it would just be a bunch of tanks and moves that they wouldn't get, then you have the armchair pro's who would tell me how they would play the game.. brings alot of negativity to the comments.

I want to record a game infinite vs dave, one of u kills me straight away so i can see the whole map and commentae whilst recording.

@Dave, Oblivion is alright, u can combat in both 3rd/1st views, its not all that great on combat, but it is still pretty fun.

Anyways more on this.. i came into the high profiled bug "vampire glitch" where the game just breaks..

Basically when you go around the world you may or may not bump into a vampire and start fighting.. the quest to get a remedy is a pain in the arse.

You have to go through alot of hassle to do it.
Then eventually.. you get all the required ingredients and take them to a witch, who musters up a potion for you.

But.. the one ingredient "bloodgrass" won't register with her.. eww so unless you have the internet you would be royally fooked!
So what you have to do is change your settings via xmb to german then load the game.. give the bloodgrass to her in german language and it eventually registers.. but ...

Imagine if you had no net..? you would be stuck as a vampire..where daylight kills you, the traders,townfolk and pretty much alot fo quest givers hate you.. honestly i hated that part of the game, my advice try and run away from any vampire lol.

To top this quest off, if you go inside the basement area before she makes the potion, it locks you in, at that point..if you have no save.. its a restart.. imagine doing all the work to start again.. yikes!
