Even the amazing Pi-Hole can't block them.
But there are ways to still cleanly watch Youtube videos.
1. youtube-dl
I've installed youtube-dl on one of my linux boxes, I just type:
Code: Select all
youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgD8pRaLhPY
Then I copy it from the linux box and watch it on my PC, while that's playing I'll setup a batch of videos to download in the mean time. All clean!
It's a bit of a pain, but it's a workaround that DOES work.
BTW I use dietpi, it's meant for small SBC's, but there is a few x86 options available, including just about every flavour of VM there is, so you could run it on your own desktop PC for FREE.

2. ublock origin

UBlock Origin still works, so give it a try, it's a firefox and ironically Chrome plugin.
There's also a link to test to see if it works once it's installed
