I LOVE the irony.
In the past 10+ years, the industry has moved from vinyl to digital, and while vinyl DJ's are VERY talented, they are a dying breed.
RANE have now taken the best of digital and added a vinyl "synthesizer" of sorts, taking us back to the days of old. Of course there are reasons for this, just ask any scratch DJ what they prefer, jog wheels or this.
I kind of wish I had a couple of turntables and a record collection, but I can't afford either. So the RANE One would have to be a happy medium, and I'm not even interested in the scratch as I don't listen to hip-hip/rap/R&B
But it would have to be this or the DDJ 1000, I can't afford both and I don't have the space for both either. That said, if Pioneer made a DDJ 2000 exactly the same as the 1000 but with motorised platters and then there'd be no contest.
