Tearing down the new Pioneer DJ Teaser video
My thoughts initially were that this new hardware is a competitor to the venerable RANE One, still relatively new but already revered by turntablists.
Firstly look at the title of the video: "Get Ready for the REVolution", so the emphasis is on REV, a simple but effective word-play on Revolution.
Looking at the first image you'll see a jog wheel and two distinct buttons, one button is lit up and says 33, an obvious reference to LP 33 RPM records.
This second image shows one of the FX paddles often found on scratch DJ mixers and controllers.
The 3rd image is a simple knog/switch, or is it one of the old school felt pads you kept next to record players (YES I'M THAT OLD!), kept to hand to clean the vinyl from dust before playing the single or album. Or it could just be a switch
The 4th image is a macro image showing dimples and vinyl grooves.
This, the 5th image is very interesting, showing an LCD screen and waveform flowing down is significant, it's the default display mode for Serato, so this will most certainly be a Serato controller. More interesting, it seems to be embedded in a circle, so is this display inside a jog wheel? It's really hard to see for sure but I do think this is in the centre of the jog-wheel. It's certainly styled around circles though.
Image number 6 is like me, just a simple knob!
The 7th image gives us a bit of a look at the main body of the controller.
I.

Finally one more top of the platter and more grooves.
Turnable stroboscopes, how they work.

So I was wrong on a couple of points.
There is no interchangeable platters like the Rane One. It's actually 2 different controllers.
I was only joking about the vinyl cleaner felt pad, it's actually the magvel crossfader.
