1. Get to know your gear, play with all the buttons and READ THE F***ing manual

2. Get to know your software

3. Check your levels

4. Beat-match by ear

5. Learn to count beats, bars and phrases

6. Adjust the incorrect beat grids (see the lesson on beat-matching by ear and this isn't important)
