Show us all that lovely gear!
I upgraded from the venerable DDJ 400, and probably a little too early, but that said, the difference between the 400 and the 1000 is worlds apart. The 1000 is also pro-level, all the functions and buttons are pretty much the same as CDJ 900's and better. So I could now, in theory, jump straight onto club level gear.
I couldn't mix at a club level, but I could use the gear and know what all the things do.

Do you have a DDJ 1000 in either RB or Serato flavours? Do you only ever use it as a dual channel mixer/controller? Do you think it's too complicated or tricky remembering which deck is playing or lined up next?
The solution is simple...
USE JUST ONE DECK.
If like me you're left handed, then use that deck. So you'll have channel 1+3. Only mix with these two for a while and then switch to 2+4 for a bit.
Before you know it, you'll know exactly what, where and when, and then you'll stand a better chance of using it as a 4 channel controller, and you won't be overwhelmed by 4 channels and two decks.
